Presentation

The restoration of the Château de Port-Miou was the support of an ACTA VISTA training from May 2017 to September 2020, based on the professional gesture. This integration and training project was born from the will of the City of Cassis, owner of the site, to restore the entire building destroyed by time and bad weather, including a strong social and territorial approach. The objective was to train a team of 8 local job seekers per cycle in the trades of the Old Building, and to accompany them towards a return to the job market.

Located at the entrance of the Calanques National Park and surveyed each year by thousands of visitors, the Château de Port-Miou now hosts, after three years of restoration: the Harbour Master’s Office of the Zone de Mouillages d’Équipements Légers (ZMEL); the office of the Calanques National Park and several premises for personalities from the associative and academic world, working on the geology of the large local marine aquifer.
