Presentation
The departmental council, keen to preserve and enhance its built heritage, decided to combine restoration of the Abbey of Saint Sever de Rustan with opportunities for inclusion for local residents.
The ACTA VISTA association, a major player in the field of inclusion through heritage for over 20 years, was chosen for its innovative approach to integration workcamps and skills training in heritage trades, dedicated to people furthest from employment. The project to restore various areas of the Abbey began on November 22, 2023.
ACTA VISTA’s first project in the Occitanie region, the Abbey will be used for a variety of purposes, contributing to regional development.
Sites and works
The following restoration projects have been completed:
- Renovation of the small dining room in the guest pavilion;
- Renovation of hallway number 1;
